Hey - I want to present at conferences!
Before we move on, there are two things you need to know:
- First, by "presenter" we mean anyone lending their talent
to an event. That might be a motivational speaker, but might also mean a yoga teacher teaching
a workshop or a muscian playing during a meditation session. We group everyone together so we don't have to type
"presenter/teacher/leader/musician/artist/singer/dancer/etc" everywhere :)
- Second, throughout the site we actually refer to a presenter as an "Om". So don't get confused -
an "Om" is a person who wants to go spread their knowledge at events. Want to get hired for an event? Want to be a conference presenter?
Then congratulations - you're an Om!
Good, glad we got that out of the way! Now let's get started. This site is a place where event planners,
organizers and producers can check out a bunch of prospective presenters all in one place. They can see videos,
read bios, view recommendations, etc. It makes their life a lot easier than searching the web for hours just to find a fresh face.
For event planners to see - and then hire - you, you first have to join our site by
creating an account. Creating the account is completely
free and takes just a few moments. After you create an account, you then have the option
of creating your Om profile, searching through other presenters, searching through Opportunities, etc.
What is an Opportunity, you ask?
Opportunities are when event planners post an opening for a presenter. So if an event is looking
for speakers, they will post the information in the Opportunities section so the Presenters (Oms) can apply to them.
